Alongside our carefully planned curriculum, we want children to also be able to specialise in areas where they show talent. Whatever your child’s interests, we want them to shine! This might be singing on the stage at The Grove with Year 4 or our choir with Young Voices at Wembley Arena, performing in our band, representing Hadrian at our twice weekly sporting competitions, supporting residents at Ridgeway Lodge or running a Happiness Heroes club for other children. Our Year 6 children always show prospective parents around our school on our open mornings and are excellent examples of engaged and ambitious students who are able to talk not just about their academic achievements but also about the opportunities that they have received that will, we hope, allow them to continue their interests far beyond Primary school.
ArtsMark Gold Award (October 2025)
Congratulations to everyone at Hadrian Academy for Gold Award achievement! This means we have:
- embedded creativity: The Arts are woven into our entire curriculum, not just a separate subject.
- proven impact: arts improve learning, behaviour, and confidence.
- established provision: Hadrian has a well-developed, high-quality arts program in place.
- staff development: our teachers are upskilled to deliver inclusive arts lessons.
- strong, established community links, including arts organizations and the wider community.
School Games Gold Level Award (July 2025)
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Gold Level Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.
This is an award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
With a greater total of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.
