Whole School Approach: Mental Health Vision Statement
At Hadrian Academy we are safe and caring. We have a school of excellence, where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. In order to achieve this, we are striving to create an environment which is promoting resilience, positive well-being and mental health for all pupils, staff and parents/carers. We recognise that children’s mental health is a crucial factor in their overall well-being and can affect their learning and achievement.
We understand that well-being is a state of comfortability, health and happiness. Hadrian is striving to make mental health and well-being ‘everyone’s business’, across the school and its community. We will create an environment that has a whole school approach, in providing excellent mental health support, understanding, intervention and preventing problems before they arise.
We will put well-being at the heart of our school to ensure successful learning, and commit to policies reflecting this practice.
